Tamworth Assembly Rooms is the premier entertainments venue inTamworth and host to a wide variety of events. The grade two listed building currently hosts a full season of professional programmed events for all tastes. These include working with private bookings, professional one night acts and local talent.

Facilities
Currently the Assembly Rooms is owned by Tamworth Borough Council and is the No. 1 theatre in Tamworth. The main auditorium has retractable-tiered and flat seating with a full capacity of 350. The venue has a large dance floor, a proscenium arch raked stage, Martin audio system and full in-house stage lighting.  The flexibility of the venue means that for some shows a special atmosphere is created when a cabaret style is adopted. Backstage facilities include 4 dressing rooms, shower and toilet facilities.
There is a fully licensed bar area with facilities to pre-order interval drinks. The venue has just refurbished the toilets and offers customers a much higher quality of service. Plans are currently in place to refurbish the front box office area by the end of this year. Tamworth Assembly Rooms combines the heritage atmosphere of a grade two listed building with modern day improvements to offer users of the building the ultimate theatrical experience.

Events Programme
Tamworth Assembly Rooms operates a full seasonal programme of events for people to come along and enjoy. Currently the programme consist of one third private bookings, one third community shows and one third professional shows. Over the last year the development of the Arts Connects brand has seen a wide range of arts workshops being hosted at the venue. There is also an Artswitch network where local arts groups and organisations communicate to each other and share resources.

Over the last few years the venue has welcomed Roy Chubby Brown, The Comedy Club, Paul Zerdin, Paul Daniels, Colin Fry, Dominic Kirwin and many more.
