How long are the Thomas rides?
All Thomas rides are approximately 15 minutes long.
Do I need to book my Thomas ride?
Yes, please book your preferred time from the list of times on this page. One Thomas ride is permitted per ticket and you must only board the train at the time that you have pre-booked. Please arrive at Oaktree Platform at least 5 minutes before your departure time (this is printed on your e-ticket).
Do children under two require a ticket?
No, children under two sitting on a parent or guardian’s lap attend for free and do not require a ticket on the Thomas ride.
Are children under two allocated a seat on the Thomas ride?
No, children under two are not allocated a seat and should be sat on a parent or guardian’s lap.
Can I use a Statfold Country Park e-Gift Voucher to purchase my Day Out With Thomas Tickets?
No, Statfold Country Park e-Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed to purchase your Day Out With Thomas tickets.
What does my Day Out with Thomas ticket include?
Your ticket includes ALL the activities included in the activity section above (Soft Play subject to availability).
Will there be other Thomas & Friends characters at the event?
Yes, Percy, James, Rosie, Sir Topham Hatt and Rusty & Dusty will also be there!
Will there be other trains available to ride on?
Yes, in addition to your Thomas ride you can also enjoy unlimited steam engine rides behind James and Percy. These additional rides are approximately 25 minutes long. You can also enjoy unlimited rides on the miniature railway.
Do I need to book Soft Play in advance?
It is strongly advised that you pre-book a 45-minute session in Soft Play (included in your ticket price), as space is limited & only pre-booked admission can be guaranteed. Space on the day will be subject to availability. You can book your time slot prior to checkout. Please allow plenty of time before or after your 15 minute Thomas ride.
Can I stay all day?
Yes, activities are available from 09:00 to 17:00. Remember you must be ready to board your Thomas ride at your pre-booked time slot. (This time is displayed on your e-ticket).
What time does the event open and close?
Day Out With Thomas opens at 08:45 and finishes at 17:00.
What time do you recommend arriving?
If your pre-booked Thomas ride is at 09:00, please arrive at 08:45. If your Thomas ride is later in the day, please arrive earlier and enjoy the other activities before your pre-booked ride. If you are travelling on the 16:00 Thomas ride we recommend that you arrive no later than 14:30 to enjoy the other activities.
Will refreshments be available to purchase?
Yes, after letting off some steam, it’s time to refuel with a bite to eat and a drink from our Diane’s Diner and Peelers Bar.
Are you able to accommodate Wheelchairs?
All areas for the event are on level ground. Trains can accommodate wheelchairs, and we have disabled toilets and a lift to the mezzanine floor in the museum.
Ramps are provided to access train rides on our narrow gauge railway, including the Thomas, Percy and James rides. A couple of carriages have suitable spaces for a limited number of wheelchairs on each ride. Wheelchair access is also available on the miniature railway.
Do you have a special pricing for carers?
Yes, any visitor with access needs who require a carer we offer one free carer ticket per full price ticket. Please book by contacting Quaytickets on 0343 208 1841. Proof of status will need to be provided on arrival at the railway.
Is there parking onsite?
Yes, we have ample free parking onsite & disabled parking.
Can I reach you by public transport?
Our friends at Transport Museum Wythall will be providing a free bus service to Statfold Country Park from Tamworth Town Centre and Tamworth Railway Station. Please check our website nearer the event for the bus times www.statfold.com
Can I take a pushchair onto my Thomas ride?
No, space is limited, and we ask all pushchairs to be left at the pushchair/buggy park. You will exit at this location enabling you to collect your pushchair/buggy.
Are dogs allowed to attend the event?
Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted onsite. However, we do ask that they do not enter the Diner and Toby’s Barn Soft Play inside the museum. We ask all dog owners to remain responsible whilst on our site and to clear up their own waste.
Are tickets available to purchase on the day?
We recommend booking in advance, tickets on the day will be subject to availability, we recommend enquiring before travelling.
Are ticket refunds and exchanges available?
No, full terms and conditions are available to view on the main FAQ page. Soft Play can be amended in advance subject to availability.
