Can you design Tamworth’s own summer mascot?
Calling all creative minds! Can you design Tamworth’s very own summer events mascot to support Tamworth Arts and Events programme of activities and shows for the summer season?
Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts and Events Team are on the lookout for a mascot to represent Tamworth at their outdoor events.
The mascot will first appear in Tamworth Castle Grounds this summer, with an exciting line up of events throughout July and August.
The three-week programme of sport and entertainment in the Castle Grounds is hoped to encompass and celebrate the Commonwealth Games coming to the region this summer with a series of live music events, broadcasts, screenings, professional sports events, community outreach and arts events, running from July 20 – August 13, 2022, making this summer something to really remember.
All ages are welcome to enter the competition and design a mascot that will be Tamworth’s very own lucky character that visitors and residents will meet at many of our planned outdoor events.
Your mascot drawing must have a face, arms, legs, clothing, and links or themed to Tamworth.
The best mascot design will be chosen on Monday, May 30, so don’t delay and get creative now!
Email your submissions to: artsdevelopment@tamworth.gov.uk with your name, age, and contact number, or alternatively you can bring your drawings into Tamworth Assembly Rooms and hand them to the Tourist Information Centre. If you have any questions, please contact Sadie Carrasco at: artsdevelopment@tamworth.gov.uk.
