Eyes down Tamworth – an ‘unmissable night of madness and mayhem’ has just been added to the three-week festival of fun taking place in Tamworth Castle Grounds this summer.

The event is Bingo Lingo – it’s bingo, but not as you know it. Described as a ‘bingo rave’, players will be treated to stage battles, ridiculous rounds and weird and wonderful prizes in a fast-paced club night environment – all set under the stars in Tamworth’s picturesque Castle Grounds.

People are invited to bring their chairs and picnic blankets for this adults-only evening of unforgettable fun on Friday, July 22. Organisers, Bingo Lingo, say players should prepare themselves for an ‘unrivalled experience of dance-offs, twerking, joke prizes and on-stage mischief’.

Gates will open at 6pm for a 7pm start (last entry 6.50pm). Tickets are priced at £15 each and are available for over 18s only.

Bingo Lingo will kick off Castle Summer Fest – a three-week programme of sports and entertainment running from July 22 to August 13. It will include live coverage of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, three large concerts with world famous artists, the UK’s largest inflatable obstacle course, sports demonstrations and group classes, a 5k festival fun run, an attempt to break the world piggyback record and much more.

Cllr Robert Pritchard, Deputy Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: “This is bingo as you’ve never experienced it before and promises to be a really fun summer evening spent laughing with your friends.

“It’s a great addition to our Castle Summer Fest programme. New events are being added all the time, so we’d encourage people to keep checking the Castle Summer Fest webpage.

“We have also just added a silent disco to the line-up which has received lots of interest already. We’re expecting Bingo Lingo to be really popular too, so would encourage people to get their groups together and book their tickets as soon as possible.”
