Festival-goers descend on Tamworth town centre to celebrate annual We Love Tamworth 2021 festival at Castle Grounds
Another successful We Love Tamworth is in the books as festival-goers descended on the Castle Grounds to enjoy a fantastic day of fun and entertainment as part of the 2021 edition of the festival.
The event, which took place on Saturday, September 11 and hosted by Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts & Events team, was rocking with locals and people from afar enjoying the 26 stalls, a fairground, food, drinks, games, a fun children’s zone, dog show, bungee runs, obstacle courses, a bouncy castle and live music from Bryan Brindley.
History was made at this year’s event with New Urban Era launching the town’s first ever Environmental Arts Festival. The organisers of the very successful Tamworth Urban Arts and Sports Festival showcased various art displays – from painters and nature art workshops to live yoga lessons and a trapeze show.
Cllr Robert Pritchard, Deputy Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: “It was a weekend for the ages with our wonderful We Love Tamworth event showcasing the best of Tamworth.
“It was great to see people getting into the party spirit to celebrate Tamworth and just being able to enjoy themselves. This year’s event also coincided with the Tamworth Gusto Food Festival, so there really was lots going on for a great day out for the whole family.”
There’s more family entertainment lined up for the coming weekend (Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19) in the form of the Saxon Weekender event.
