Aethlflaed Day at St Editha's Church

A date for your diaries!
On Thursday 12th June, we celebrate Athelflaed Day in conjunction with the TDCS.
There will be a special dedication of the incredible new Anglo-Saxon altar frontal at St. Editha's at 1.45pm - a beautiful work of art, entirely handmade by a local crafter (you have to see it to believe it!!), followed by a short procession to the Tamworth Millenary Memorial with a flower laying ceremony at 2pm.
The day will then conclude with a talk by Professor Barbara Yorke at St. Editha's, 7pm (tickets available on the door).
A good way to commemorate one of Tamworth's greatest ever rulers - don't miss it!
