Alvecote Wood/Betty's Wood Open Day - Sunday 30th March

Our Open Day season for 2025 starts at the Woods on Sunday 30th March, running from 10am to 3:30pm.

The winter is always a busy time and we've been doing some coppicing and fruit tree pruning recently. There are many overdue jobs but we are now on a mission to catch up so there will be many changes visible over coming months.

One highlight as we approach spring each year is the growing display of cowslips. They always cheer up the view at the Woods and they are spreading in several places, which is great. Look out for their bright yellow flowers as you walk around (a good display is actually just behind our main building, where we have our small orchard and we've been working on the fruit trees).

The main arrangements apply for the Open Day: Open from 10am to *3:30pm* with *last entry at 2:30pm*.

Parking: Please note that there is limited car parking at Alvecote Wood, so if you are able to walk, cycle or share a car, we would be very grateful. There is parking for a few vehicles on hard-standing to the left of our main building, with overflow space for more cars on the grass nearby when required.
