We Love Tamworth festival set to be bigger than ever before!
Tamworth Borough Council are inviting everyone to join the annual town festival, We Love Tamworth, in September, for a packed programme of activities in Tamworth Castle Grounds.
An action-packed weekend of fun for the whole family, is set to take place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September from 10am.
The event, which has been running since 2012, takes place in the Castle Grounds where visitors can expect stalls, Art of Tamworth, performances from various local artists, bands and groups; plus, the Labyrinth challenge, Streets, Eats and Beats food festival, the Reliant annual gathering (Sunday only), a petting zoo, Tamworth Castle Heritage Open Day coracle making workshop – just to mention a few.
The line up for the weekend activities look like this:

- Local brass bands performance, including Tamworth Brass Band
- Art of Tamworth – upper lawn
As part of the Sound of Tamworth, Rory and the Revellers, runners-up of the Youth Battle of the Bands, have been invited to play at We Love Tamworth and Pulse, winners of the Battle of the Bands, will be the headline act to finish the show on the Saturday.
Tamworth Borough Council are excited to announce that due to the success of re-launched Youth Battle of the Bands, the competition will return next year with the age of contestants extended to 25 years old. Keep an eye out for more information coming soon.
Councillor Lewis Smith, Portfolio holder for people services, engagement and leisure for Tamworth Borough Council, said: “We’re excited to host We Love Tamworth for the 12th year. It has become a great day out and a firm favourite among people of all ages.
“Each year the event grows more popular with residents and visitors to our town. This year’s event has all the much-loved features from previous years, as well as some very special extras, such as coracle making workshops and a large stage to host live entertainment and music.
“This year we have activities running for the whole weekend so plenty of opportunities to join the fun.”
