Head back to the 80s and join the party this week
Get ready to party like it’s 1985 with the classic musical comedy - ‘The Wedding Singer’ which will be performed at Landau Forte Academy from April 4 to April 7.
Tamworth Musical Theatre Company presents this hit production set in 1985 when hair is huge, greed is good and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favourite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own.
The story continues when Robbie meets Julia, a naïve waitress who wins his affection. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.
This romantic musical pays loving homage to the pop songs of the 1980s, guaranteed to get audiences singing along and joining in the party. Perfect for an Easter half-term treat.
Tickets are priced at £10 and doors open at 6:30pm for a 7.30pm start. A matinee performance will be shown on Saturday, April 7, when doors open at 2pm for a 2:30pm start. Please note that there is a £1 transaction fee for phone and online orders. Audiences booking in groups can take advantage of a special offer of 10% off when buying 10 tickets.
