Try STRONG by Zumba for free
Participants are being invited to take part in a new exciting programme of free STRONG by Zumba sessions starting this week, to help them spring into fitness.
Active Tamworth - part of Tamworth Borough Council’s Sports Development, has teamed up with local Zumba instructor, Kasia for another series of free STRONG by Zumba exercise classes, which will be held at the Activity Centre opposite the tennis courts in the Castle Grounds. These sessions will run every Sunday morning, starting March 17 until April 7, from 9am-10am.
This is a fantastic opportunity for people to sample the class and experience STRONG by Zumba – an exercise class that combines body weight, muscle conditioning and cardio training moves, all synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more!
Anyone interested in joining these sessions should turn up on a Sunday morning at the Activity Centre with a mat, (if you have one) water and a towel. This class is a high-intensity workout to a beat of powerful music, which aims to push you past your limits to meet your fitness goals faster. Classes are designed for all abilities and anyone over 16.
Cllr John Chesworth, Cabinet member for Culture and Operational Services, said “These activities are always a huge success and are very popular, so I would encourage as many people as possible to attend.
“We have been working with sports clubs and individuals from across the borough to put together various activities and I’m delighted that we are able to work in partnership to offer these free exercise classes.
“We hope that people from across Tamworth will find the new class exciting and maybe try something they may not have tried before”.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the sessions start at 9am.
