Tamworth Castle scoop’s silver at Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards.

Tamworth Borough Council are delighted to announce that Tamworth Castle has scooped silver for the Small Visitor Attraction at this year’s Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards.
Staffordshire's best tourism and hospitality businesses have been crowned at the 2025 ceremony which took place on Thursday 20 March where businesses from across the county gathered at the Doubletree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent for the glittering black-tie event.
The event sponsored by University of Staffordshire, was hosted by BBC Midlands Today’s Rebecca Wood.
Following a rigorous independent judging process, over 140 entries from across the county were whittled down to help decide the shortlist of finalists in the 20 categories.
Tamworth Castle was up against some big names for the Small Visitor Attraction award, sponsored by RH Advertising, including:
Councillor Lewis Smith, portfolio holder for people services, engagement and leisure for Tamworth Borough Council, said: “The Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards are all about celebrating our amazing hospitality and tourism businesses and the people working in them.
“The competition is a great way of promoting our amazing castle that consistently delivers outstanding customer experiences.
“I’d like to congratulate all those businesses shortlisted in this year’s awards and our castle team for their hard work and dedication in making the castle an amazing place to visit.”
